Who are Standby Self Storage?
A family-run container storage company delivering self-storage solutions and exceptional customer service in the Exeter region. Owner Mark approached us in January 2023 needing help boosting online enquiries — the business was strong; the digital side wasn't keeping pace.
The problem we walked into.
The original site was built on Wix in a way that made meaningful SEO work near-impossible — no flexibility to control structure, metadata, or performance at the level the competition required.
MG needed visibility for "self storage Exeter" and the long tail of local intent — and the platform itself was holding them back. Alongside the SEO foundations, we needed to migrate off Wix onto a platform that could actually compete.

The programme hasn't stopped. Fresh results update for 2025 shows the compounding curve is still lifting — 2,803 organic sessions, 92 ranking keywords, 78 local pack positions.
