A storage site is a booking engine.
Live unit availability, instant quotes and real bookings, integrated with the systems you already run.
Why generic web agencies fail self-storage
When someone searches for storage, they want three answers fast.
Do you have a unit my size, what does it cost, and how soon can I move in. A site that makes them read five sections of brand copy before it shows a unit and a price is a site that sends them back to the search results.
Most operators already run their units, prices and bookings inside a storage management platform. The public website should read from that platform, not sit beside it. “Units available, call us to check” is the lazy answer. The proper answer is a site that shows what is genuinely available, quotes from your real prices, and hands the customer into your platform’s own booking and payment flow without a phone call.
That is the work we do. We build self-storage websites for single-site operators and multi-site groups across the UK, from MG Self Storage in Exeter and Mid Wales Storage to OrangeBox’s six East Midlands locations, and every one is built around how storage customers actually buy.
How we help
Built for self-storage.
Live availability and pricing
On a supported platform, unit availability and prices come straight from your system, so the site never shows a unit you have already let.
Quote and booking flow
Our Storage Quote tool and booking flow, configured for one site or many, with the customer handed into your platform to book and pay.
Amax Connect for Stora
Amax Connect is our own WordPress plugin, built on Stora. It brings live availability, pricing and booking into your site, and we are listed on the Stora Marketplace.
Multi-location architecture
A location selector, a proper page for every facility with its own content and reviews, and URLs that keep earning in search as you add sites.
Mobile first
Most storage searches happen on a phone, often in the middle of a move. Layouts are designed for one hand and a short attention span.
Speed and Core Web Vitals
Storage sites are compared side by side in the search results. We build lean, measure Core Web Vitals before launch and fix what fails.
Your platform
We build around the system you already run.
Your storage management platform runs the units, the prices, the bookings and the payments. The website’s job is to put that in front of customers and get out of the way. How deep we go depends on the platform.
Stora: live
Amax Connect is built on Stora. Live availability and pricing in your pages, with Stora handling booking and payment. Stora’s own fees are separate from ours. Stora websites
Storeganise: live
A live integration, so your website shows what Storeganise knows and sends customers into its booking flow. Storeganise websites
Space Manager, Storman, Kinnovis
Supported on request. We review your setup with you and say what is possible before anything is quoted. All platforms
Not on any of these? We still build the site. Quotes and enquiries can come through our own Storage Quote tool, and when you do move platform the site moves with you.
One site or twenty
Single-site and multi-site need different builds.
One location, one quote flow, one clear route to book. The work is local: ranking in your town and the towns around it, a homepage that answers the three questions straight away, and a size guide that stops people guessing. We build it ready to take a second site, so growth does not mean a rebuild.
A location finder that puts the nearest store first, a page for every facility with its own photos, directions, opening hours and reviews, and availability per site. Shared content is written once and reused, local content stays local, and adding a new facility is a page, not a project.
What we hear on first audit calls
Site problems losing operators bookings.
“Visitors land, look around, and leave without enquiring.”
Usually there is no quote or size tool in sight. We make it the first thing a visitor sees, then measure the change.
“We have to update unit prices on the website by hand every month.”
The site is running flat pages. On a supported platform we connect it so prices come from the source and change everywhere at once.
“We have four facilities but the site only really features one.”
A single-site structure stretched over a group. We rebuild with proper location pages, so each facility can rank in its own town.
“People still have to call us to book and pay.”
Your platform already handles booking and payment. We wire the flow so it launches straight from the site, no phone call needed.
Case spotlight
MG Self Storage’s site was on Wix, which limited what could be done with page structure, speed and search. We rebuilt it on WordPress with a clear route from search to unit, then ran SEO on the new foundation. In the 11 months that followed, the site recorded 1,084 Google ranking increases.
Recent storage builds
Sites we have built for operators.

A rebuilt website, with an aerial drone film that shows customers the site and its access before they visit.
Purple Monkey Storage
A new brand website for the Dewsbury facility.
OrangeBox
Six East Midlands locations. Organic Google clicks rose 288%, comparing the latest 90 days with the 90 before.
How we work
A clear process. No black boxes.

Wireframes and UX
Quote-first layouts, location navigation and the mobile booking route, signed off before visual design.
Build and integration
WordPress build, connected to your platform where it is supported, with the booking flow tested end to end.
Launch and iterate
Redirects checked, Search Console watched, and the first weeks after launch spent fixing what real customers show us.
Moving and owning your site
Your site, your rankings, your data.
Changing website should not cost you the search positions you have spent years earning. Every rebuild starts with a map of the old site, so nothing that ranks is lost on the way over.
- Every old URL mapped and redirected to its closest new page.
- Titles, descriptions and content that already rank carried across, then improved.
- Moves off Wix, Squarespace and older WordPress themes, as we did for MG Self Storage.
- Built on WordPress and owned by you. No agency lock-in, no proprietary page builder you cannot leave.
- Your customer and booking data stays in your platform, where it belongs.
How we build for self-storage
Conversion-led, not design-led.
Storage sites have one job: turn a search into a booking or an enquiry. Good design serves that job. It never gets in its way.
- The quote or size tool is above the fold, every time.
- Real integrations where the platform supports them, not an iframe pretending to be native.
- Mobile first, tested on real phones on real connections.
- SEO built in from the start: URLs, schema, sitemaps and redirects done properly.
- Accessible, so nobody is turned away by the site itself.

Self-storage FAQ
You’re probably wondering…
Do you build on WordPress, Webflow or custom?
WordPress for almost every storage build. It gives the right balance of flexibility, SEO control and ownership. Custom builds are possible for operators with very specific requirements.
How long does a storage site build take?
Typically 6 to 12 weeks for a single-site build and 10 to 16 weeks for multi-site. Faster when content is ready and feedback is quick.
Which storage platforms do you integrate with?
Stora and Storeganise are live integrations today. Space Manager, Storman and Kinnovis are supported on request: we review your setup with you and say what is possible. See platforms for the detail.
We are on Stora. Do Stora’s fees change?
No. Amax Connect is built on Stora, and Stora handles the booking and payment. Stora’s own subscription and transaction fees are separate from ours and are agreed with Stora directly.
Do you handle the migration from our old site?
Yes. URL mapping, 301 redirects, content and image transfer, and a plan for the search transition, so the rankings you have are carried across.
Who owns the website when it is finished?
You do. The site, the domain and the content are yours, and your customer data stays in your storage platform.
Can you add a size calculator or quote form?
Yes. Our Storage Quote tool lets customers work out the unit they need and request a quote, as on the Mid Wales Storage site.
Do you do design only, build only, or both?
Both, and we generally insist on both. Splitting design from build creates handoff problems and conversion compromises.
Is this web design, web development, or both?
Both. “Self-storage web design” and “self-storage web development” describe the same job here: the visual design and the booking build come from the same team, on the same brief.
Will the site work for one facility now and more later?
Yes. We build the structure ready for more locations from day one, even for a single site.
What about ongoing support?
An optional support retainer covers updates, security patches, content changes, performance monitoring and small feature work.
