The brief

A brand-new site, built specifically for Vigile.

Vigile Fire & Security design, install and maintain fire and security systems for homes, businesses and the public sector across Scotland, from their base in West Dunbartonshire. The brief was to give them a completely new website. Not a template, not an off-the-shelf theme, but a site built from the ground up around their business, their services and the trust their sector demands.

The project started with a design concept shaped around Vigile's brand and services, then was developed into a fully bespoke WordPress build, with performance and accessibility treated as first-class requirements from day one rather than an afterthought.

The work

Concept-led, bespoke, and built to score.

Every page was custom built around Vigile's own services: fire safety, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control, rather than adapted from a generic theme.

Our approach

From concept to a fully bespoke, top-scoring build.

01 / CONCEPT

Design concept

Started with a design concept built around Vigile's brand, sector and services, rather than a stock theme.

02 / DESIGN

Bespoke UI

Every section, from the hero to the service icons, designed specifically for a Scotland-wide fire and security installer.

03 / BUILD

Fully custom build

Built as a bespoke WordPress site, including a GDPR-consented quote form with reCAPTCHA v3 protection.

04 / ENGINEER

Performance & accessibility

Built to score at the top across Google Lighthouse's Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO checks. Not bolted on after launch.

05 / LAUNCH

Ready from day one

Launched fully indexable and SEO-ready, with a custom red-tile icon system carried through every page.

THE PRINCIPLE

Bespoke means built for one business

A generic template can't speak to one specific trade. Vigile's site was designed and built around theirs.

The result

A brand-new site that performs as good as it looks.

Vigile now has a completely bespoke website, built from an original concept around their own business rather than a generic template, and one that scores 96–100 across every major Google Lighthouse category from launch, on both desktop and mobile.

Paid search

A strong first month on Google Ads.

Once the new site was live, we launched Google Ads for Vigile across Scotland's Central Belt, targeting people actively looking for a CCTV, intruder alarm or door entry installer. In September, the first month, the campaign generated 12 enquiries from 491 clicks on a total spend of £750.87.

£28.34cost per enquiry on Access Control & Door Entry, the strongest ad group
58%of enquiries came from an ad group that took just 26% of the spend

What we did

  • Built a campaign around three service ad groups: CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and Access Control & Door Entry.
  • Targeted installer-intent searches, so budget goes to people looking to hire rather than browse.
  • Filtered out irrelevant searches from day one with a shared exclusion list.

What the data showed

Searchers looking for an installer converted far better than product browsers. Keywords containing “installation” converted at between 5% and 17%, and demand for door entry and intercom systems for blocks of flats came up again and again. That tells us exactly where to put the budget next.

Client feedback

We recently had our new website built by AMAX Marketing, and the whole experience has been excellent from start to finish. From the first conversation, Rahul and the team took the time to understand our business and what we wanted to achieve. Communication was always quick, they were patient with the many changes we requested, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The finished website looks professional, reflects our brand perfectly, and has been built with lead generation and SEO in mind rather than just looking good. Even after the website went live, the support has continued, which says a lot about the way they work. A big thank you to Rahul and the whole AMAX team. We'd happily recommend them to anyone looking for a professional website, and look forward to continuing to work with them.
