What to check before contacting us, and what to have ready when you do.

  1. Rule out caching first

    Follow the steps in My changes aren't showing. This resolves most “broken site” reports on its own.

  2. Check it on another device

    If it looks fine on your phone but wrong on your laptop (or the other way round), that’s a useful clue, tell us both when you contact us.

  3. Check the page, not just the section you edited

    Occasionally an edit in one section shifts the layout of the section below it. Scroll the whole page before deciding what’s affected.

  4. Use revision history if it's urgent

    If the page needs to look right immediately, see Undoing a change with revision history to roll it back while we look into it.

  5. Contact us with specifics

    The page URL, what you changed, and a screenshot if possible. That’s usually all we need to fix it quickly.

Tip

Don’t keep making further changes to try and fix it yourself once something looks wrong. It makes it harder for us to see what caused it.
