Editing form fields safely

Follow it through.

1. Safe to change: labels and placeholder text

   Wording like “Your name” or “Tell us about your enquiry” can be edited freely in Elementor’s Form widget.

2. Safe to change: which fields are required

   Toggling a field between required and optional is generally safe, and won’t affect where submissions go.

3. Ask us first: adding or removing fields

   New fields need to be added to the email notification and any connected system (like a CRM), or the data can go missing even though the form still submits.

4. Ask us first: the "Send to" email address

   This lives in the form’s Actions After Submit settings. Changing it yourself is fine, but tell us too so we know where to look if something goes wrong.
